 Motec team meet patron at The House of Lords

Motec at The House of Lords   Simon and Paul with Lord Alton   Simon and Steve with Lord Alton

On Monday 30th April, 2007 A three man delegation of Motec hierarchy met up with Professor Lord David Alton, Patron of Motec, at the House of Lords, Westminster, London. The meeting offered both Motec leadership and Lord Alton the opportunity to get to know each other and to firmly define the objectives of the Organisation. Discussions centred on how Motec could become more effective on the ground. Various leads were identified and Motec leadership agreed to pursue them systematically with the full support of Lord Alton.

Motec extended an invitation to Professor Lord Alton to visit Ghana and deliver a Lecture on “Good Citizenship” on 16th October, 2007 at the British Council Auditorium in Accra.

At the end of the meeting, Motec delegation shared the view that Lord Alton’s humility and commitment to good causes were unique and exemplary. The Motec delegation was made up of Mr Stephen Townsend -Welfare Officer, Mr. Simon Derbie, Non Executive Trustee Member and Special Assistant to the President, and the Leader of the Delegation Dr. Paul Ofori-Atta, President of Motec.
