  April Team Prepares for Koforidua

A team of seven Motec members leave for Ghana on the 13th of April for a two week working visit. While in Ghana, the team will work with local staff at the Koforidua St Joseph's Hospital and will be joined by a General Surgeon from the Police Hospital and a local Orthopaedic specialist in training. Transfer of skills and educational programmes are expected to feature prominently in the April programme. A series of lectures on topical issues relevant to the local hospital have been planned for St Joseph's and The Government Central Hospital at Koforidua. It is also hoped that some of the team members will pay whistle stop assessment visits to The Tema General, Nkawkaw Holy, Lister and Pramso Hospitals.

David Lewis, I.T. expert; Mr Steve Townsend, Surgical Assistant; M. Simon Derbie, Senior O.D.P.; Mr. Zoltan Takacs, Corin U.K.; Dr A. O. George, Orthopaedic Specialist; Sally Sheppard, Senior Physiotherapist and Mr. Ofori-Atta, Orthopaedic Surgeon.
